A Teleporter van should carry moving blankets, straps and a trolley. You can use them without an extra fee under the driver's supervision, and they must return to the van afterwards. Provide other packaging yourself unless arranged with support.

The essentials, in brief.

  • Reusable vehicle equipment stays with the driver after the move.
  • Plan boxes and protection for fragile items beforehand.
  • Packing help and extra materials require agreement with support.

01 · Vehicle equipment

Borrow it during the task, not afterwards

Moving blankets help protect furniture, while straps and the trolley support load handling. Follow the driver's instructions on using the equipment.

Gather the equipment and return it to the van when the job is finished. You cannot assume blankets may stay around furniture placed in a storage unit.

02 · Your packaging

Protect fragile items before loading

Glass, vases, lamps and other delicate items may need more than a blanket. Pack them safely beforehand or tell support you need help.

The team may be unable to take a poorly packed fragile item. Suitable material in the van might allow assistance, but this should not be your packing plan for the entire move.

03 · Packing assistance

Agree materials and time together

Write the requirements in the booking and contact support so the right team and materials can be organised. Describe what needs packing, preferably with photos.

Packing and any unpacking are paid working time. Agreed materials are charged for actual use. Teleporter does not currently rent out moving boxes.

04 · Helpers only

Without a moving van, clarify equipment separately

Booking people to carry or load your own vehicle does not automatically include a Teleporter moving van. Describe the equipment you already have and what you need.

Ask support about the specific task rather than assuming helpers without a van bring all vehicle equipment. This is especially relevant for stairs, large furniture or a rented van.

Ready for moving day?

One final review.

  • Pack fragile items before arrival or arrange packing help.
  • Buy your own boxes and necessary packaging.
  • Clarify equipment separately for helpers without a van.
  • Return borrowed equipment after the job.
