Teleporter can deliver without a recipient at the address by prior arrangement. You need a clear agreement about access and where items go, a reachable contact and an agreed way to pay. An address and a message saying the door should be open are not a complete delivery plan.

The essentials, in brief.

  • Agree access and placement in advance.
  • Written consent can be sent by SMS.
  • Arrange photos and payment before the trip.

01 · Agree access before the van sets off

Agree access before the van sets off

Tell support whether the team needs a key, an access code or help from someone in the building. Explain how the key will be handed over and what should happen to it afterwards. Share access details only with the people who need them for the agreed task.

You can send an SMS from your own phone number confirming that you agree to delivery without being present. Identify the address and task clearly, and provide a number that will be answered during the trip. If you appoint another contact, explain what they can help with.

02 · Describe exactly where the furniture should go

Kerbside delivery, leaving something in a stairwell and carrying it into a particular room are different tasks. Select the carrying service that matches the intended placement. If nobody is there to lift, do not book driving only and expect the driver to carry everything inside.

Give simple room and placement instructions and leave a clear route. A communal entrance is not automatically an agreed place to leave furniture. Confirm the delivery point explicitly and stay available in case access or placement turns out to be different from the plan.

03 · Photos and payment need their own agreement

Photos and payment need their own agreement

If you want photos after delivery, tell support beforehand. The manager can ask the team to photograph the placement and pass the pictures on to you. These images record where things were left; they are not a check of the contents of sealed packages.

Ordinary Teleporter bookings currently use cash payment. If nobody will be there to pay the team, resolve payment with support before booking. Permission to deliver without a recipient does not automatically provide card payment or invoice credit. Agree the practical arrangement instead of leaving it until the end.

Ready for moving day?

One final review.

  • Explain how the team gets in.
  • Specify the room and placement.
  • Book sufficient carrying help.
  • Agree payment and a reachable contact.
