Moving one sofa in Copenhagen is priced by the vehicle, the carrying help you choose and the time the task takes. Teleporter charges ordinary local transport by the minute, with a 60-minute minimum for a booking with a vehicle. The price you paid for the sofa does not determine its transport cost.

The essentials, in brief.

  • Vehicle bookings have a 60-minute minimum.
  • Match the help to the sofa and access.
  • The examples are not fixed-price offers.

01 · Start with the right carrying help

Start with the right carrying help

Can you and a friend collect the sofa, load it and carry it inside at the destination? A van with a driver but no carrying help may suit that task. The driver handles the driving; you organise the lifting at both addresses. Check the sofa dimensions and access before choosing the vehicle.

If you need the driver to help carry, select that service. If the sofa needs more people, choose sufficient helpers and discuss difficult access with support. Do not assume the seller will lift it. The example rates below distinguish driving only, a helping driver, and a driver with one extra helper.

02 · Three illustrative calculations

Three illustrative calculations

Using a van rate of DKK 9 per minute without carrying help, a task completed in 40 minutes is billed at the 60-minute minimum: 60 × 9 = DKK 540. Using DKK 10 per minute for a helping driver, a 75-minute task comes to 75 × 10 = DKK 750.

Using DKK 12 per minute for a driver and one additional helper, 90 minutes comes to 90 × 12 = DKK 1,080. These example amounts include VAT. The durations are invented calculation examples, not forecasts for your sofa. Confirm the current selected tariff before booking; parking or other agreed expenses are separate.

03 · What can make the job take longer?

What can make the job take longer?

Stairs, a long walk from the van, narrow turns and waiting for the seller can all add time. Teleporter does not add a separate floor surcharge, but longer work costs more under the minute tariff. Paid parking is an additional customer expense.

Get the sofa measurements, access photos and seller contact details ready. Agree who will carry at collection and delivery, and make sure the seller is available. Once the task is running, waiting while the seller prepares the item is part of the paid time.

Ready for moving day?

One final review.

  • Measure the sofa and its route through the building.
  • Confirm the seller’s time and carrying help.
  • Check the selected rate and minimum in the app.
  • Allow for paid parking where needed.
