Transport
Just one item?
We can move it.
Need to move one chair, table or sofa in Copenhagen? See how to choose the vehicle and carrying help, prepare access and allow for the minimum charge.
Yes, Teleporter accepts jobs with just one piece of furniture. You do not need to fill a moving van or reach a minimum number of items. Ordinary local bookings with a vehicle and driver still have a 60-minute minimum charge, even when the task itself takes less time.
The essentials, in brief.
- One item is enough to book transport.
- Choose help for the weight and access.
- A small load still has a minimum charge.

Is one chair too small a transport job?
No. The number of items does not decide whether you can book. What matters is choosing a vehicle and enough help for the item and the access at both addresses. One large tabletop can be harder to handle than several boxes.
A minimum charge is different from a minimum load. If a local vehicle booking takes 25 minutes, payment is still based on at least 60 minutes. That is an illustration of the minimum rule, not an estimate of how quickly your item will be moved.
02 · Who will carry the item?
Who will carry the item?
If you and a friend can bring it to the van, load it and unload it, you can choose a driver without carrying help. The driver handles the driving. If you need the driver to lift with you, select the service that includes that help.
When neither you nor the seller can carry, book enough people to do the lifting without you. Explain heavy items, large dimensions and narrow stairs to support beforehand. Having only one item does not make a two-person lift safe for one person.
03 · What should you prepare before booking?
What should you prepare before booking?
Have the collection and delivery addresses, contact numbers and agreed time ready. Measure the furniture and any uncertain doorways or turns. A complete inventory is not required for every job, but photos and dimensions help support assess the vehicle and people needed.
Agree who prepares the furniture and opens at each address. Gather loose parts, protect delicate surfaces and clear the route. If you carry yourself, your helpers need to be available at both ends, not only at the seller’s address.
04 · Can preparation reduce the bill?
Can preparation reduce the bill?
Being ready can shorten the task, although it does not remove the minimum charge. The five free waiting minutes apply once at the beginning; later waiting for you or the seller counts as paid task time.
Check the selected tariff and carrying arrangement before confirming the booking. If the job changes, speak to support rather than assuming the driver can add lifting or a larger vehicle on arrival. Availability and the appropriate booking need to be checked.
Ready for moving day?
One final review.
- Measure the item and difficult passages.
- Agree lifting at both addresses.
- Prepare contacts, keys and loose parts.
- Check the tariff and minimum charge.
Have a good move — and a good start at your new address.
