Close boxes so loose contents cannot fall out, and use manageable units. Keep fragile contents protected rather than assuming a closed lid makes them safe. Tell support about particularly valuable or delicate items before booking.
You do not need a detailed contents list for every box, but numbering them can help you and a recipient check that the intended load is together. Keep your phone, keys and other things you need during the move accessible.
