Teleporter can send helpers without a moving van to shift furniture between rooms or floors before renovation. The minimum booking is 120 minutes. Returning furniture another day is a new task that must be booked separately.

The essentials, in brief.

  • You can book helping hands without a moving van.
  • Plan a suitable furniture location before the team arrives.
  • Two visits on different days each have their own minimum booking.

01 · Temporary placement

Measure both the destination and carrying route

A spare room works only if the furniture fits inside and tradespeople retain clear access. Check doorways, stairs and space for the largest items.

If belongings are going to a basement, tell support about access. Choose somewhere furniture can stand safely during the work, and assess the room's suitability for storage yourself.

02 · Prepare the furniture

Empty, label and agree extra work

Normally empty wardrobes and drawers and pack loose items. Mark which furniture must move and where it should go. A plan reduces repeated rearranging.

If a wardrobe needs dismantling to leave the room, agree this with support beforehand. Also mention packaging or protection help; it is not automatically included with carrying assistance.

03 · Protection

Agree who protects the home

You normally provide necessary protection for floors and other surfaces unless otherwise agreed. If you want the team's help, clarify needs and materials before the visit.

Helpers move furniture. Renovation work, cleaning after tradespeople and deciding when a new floor can bear loads are not included. Ask the people carrying out the renovation about the latter.

04 · Putting furniture back

Book a second visit when the room is ready

Access and surfaces must be ready when furniture returns. Book the second task for when renovation is expected to be finished and report changes early.

Helpers without a van have a 120-minute minimum per booking, even if rearranging takes less time. If items need taking to storage at another address, you need a transport arrangement.
