If you need to move an expensive designer item or artwork, tell support before the job. Its value and photos help clarify handling, packaging and crew requirements. An ordinary booking is not itself an assessment that the item can travel on your requested terms.

The essentials, in brief.

  • Disclose the value before transport.
  • Packing and a suitable crew require separate agreement.
  • A declared value is not an insurance guarantee.

01 · Send more than a short description

Send more than a short description

Provide dimensions, weight if known, material and value. Photograph the whole item and areas requiring special care. Describe existing packaging and access at both addresses.

Put details in the comment and call support with the order number. Unusual items may require more photos or documents by email so the assessment is based on specific information.

02 · Agree who will pack and carry

Agree who will pack and carry

If you pack yourself, use packaging appropriate to the item and its manufacturer's or conservation instructions. If you need help, support must confirm suitable people and materials. Do not assume availability from the comment field alone.

A special finish or fragile construction may require a different method from ordinary furniture. Explain which parts may be touched or dismantled. Clarify any need for a specialist transporter before committing to collection.

03 · Value is not the same as coverage

Value is not the same as coverage

Declaring a high value does not automatically create extra insurance or cover the full amount. Request the specific applicable terms if coverage affects your decision. This guide does not promise specialist art logistics or a particular compensation amount.

Keep the agreed description of the task and packaging. Before transport starts, be clear about what has been accepted, what assistance will arrive and what, if anything, still needs clarification.

Ready for moving day?

One final review.
