Pack small, heavy items in smaller boxes and light, bulky items in larger ones. Protect fragile contents individually, fill gaps and label each box with both its contents and destination room. Teleporter does not require a particular box brand; boxes must be safe to handle.

The essentials, in brief.

  • Distribute the weight instead of filling every box.
  • A box must close properly.
  • Write the destination room on the top and side.

01 · Choose the box for its contents

Choose the box for its contents

A large box of books quickly becomes difficult to handle. Divide books and other dense items between several smaller boxes. Larger boxes suit cushions and light bedding. Before reusing boxes, check for damp, tears and weak bases.

Follow the box's assembly instructions and any load rating. A stated capacity is not a recommendation to fill it to its maximum weight, nor does it establish what one person can carry on stairs. Teleporter has no single general kilogram limit for all moving boxes.

02 · Avoid overfilling and loose contents

Avoid overfilling and loose contents

Wrap glass and other fragile items individually in suitable material. Place protection between items and fill gaps so they cannot knock together. A fragile label helps with handling but cannot replace protective packaging.

The box should close without forcing the lid down onto its contents. If the sides bulge or the base sags, redistribute the contents. Keep heavy and fragile items separate. Pack liquids separately and disclose products needing special approval; never hide dangerous goods among ordinary belongings.

03 · Label for the new address

Label for the new address

For example, write 'Bedroom – bedding – box 3' on both top and side. Use room names from the new home so helpers can put boxes in the right place first time. Number boxes if you want a simple inventory.

Pack your phone charger, keys, essential personal items and clothes for the first evening separately. Keep that bag accessible. Clear labels are particularly useful if you will not be present at delivery and have agreed placement with support.

04 · How does packing affect the price?

How does packing affect the price?

For a local move, you pay for the chosen van and help and the time the task takes, subject to the applicable minimum. Closed, prepared boxes and clear access can make handling easier; this does not guarantee a particular duration.

Teleporter does not currently rent out moving boxes. You can obtain your own boxes and pack yourself, or arrange packing help with support in advance. If the team packs, that uses paid working time, and consumable materials are charged separately.

One final review.
