Teleporter can help with a move without a lift when the booked team can carry the items safely. For local minute-priced work, there is no separate surcharge for stairs or floors. Carrying up and down can take longer, and that time affects the bill.

The essentials, in brief.

  • Describe the full carrying route.
  • Book enough suitable help.
  • Measure furniture and tight turns.

01 · Describe more than the floor number

Describe more than the floor number

Tell support about narrow turns, low ceilings, basement steps and the distance from the van to the entrance. If there is a lift, check whether the large furniture actually fits through its door and inside the cabin.

A lift may help with boxes while the sofa still needs the stairs. Send photographs showing the difficult route and the dimensions of the large item so support can assess the actual carrying task.

02 · Choose people for the difficult lifts

Choose people for the difficult lifts

Count your own help realistically. A driver who is booked to assist may still need another person for an awkward item. If you cannot lift, say so rather than relying on being able to manage once the van arrives.

There is no fixed crew size that makes every stair lift possible. Grip, weight, shape and working space all matter. Unusually heavy or bulky goods need assessment before the booking.

03 · Do not force an item through a blocked route

If furniture will not pass safely, stop and contact support. Agreed dismantling, more help or a later specialist solution may be necessary. Window or crane lifting is not included in an ordinary transport booking.

An access problem does not automatically pause the local timer. Measure before the day, and tell support about doubts rather than treating the moving team’s arrival as a way to test whether the sofa fits.

04 · Prepare the shared areas

Prepare the shared areas

Clear the route and organise lawful access for the vehicle. Have keys ready and keep boxes manageable. You normally arrange protection for the building yourself unless something else has been agreed.

If you want the team to protect surfaces or help pack, discuss the work and materials beforehand. Those tasks take time and require suitable preparation; they are not an automatic extra included because the apartment is upstairs.
