Before leaving Denmark, give every large item a destination and a handover plan. Taking everything, selling everything and leaving everything for the final day are not your only choices. Teleporter can help with agreed transport, but you arrange buyers, donation recipients and storage yourself.

The essentials, in brief.

  • Give each item a confirmed destination.
  • Arrange recipients and storage yourself.
  • Plan route, contacts and costs before departure.

01 · Separate the decisions from the moving day

Separate the decisions from the moving day

Make a list of what you will take, sell, give away, store or recycle. Note the deadline for clearing the home and the earliest date each destination can receive items. Decide what you still need to use until departure.

For a sale or donation, send accurate photographs, dimensions and condition details. Get a clear acceptance and collection or delivery time. A charity shop or private buyer is not obliged to take an item simply because a van arrives with it.

02 · Arrange storage or recycling with the actual provider

Arrange storage or recycling with the actual provider

If you want to keep furniture in Denmark, find and book the storage space yourself. Check access hours, entrance details and the unit's availability. Teleporter can transport to and from the unit; it does not provide its own storage service.

For recycling, agree the destination and type of waste with support before booking. Confirm that the facility accepts the items and how any applicable fees will be paid. Do not assume every visit with a commercial vehicle is free or that every facility accepts cash at the gate.

03 · Coordinate several destinations

Coordinate several destinations

Furniture may go to a buyer, a storage unit and another home in the same plan. Give each address its own contact and identify which items go there. Extra stops need time, vehicle capacity and an agreed sequence.

Local task time continues through driving, carrying and customer-related waiting. Adding a stop during the job depends on the driver's remaining schedule. Planning all destinations in advance is more reliable than deciding after the van has been loaded.

04 · If you take furniture abroad

If you take furniture abroad

Send support the destination, pickup details, date and list of items for an agreed EU transport quote. Long-distance work is arranged at a fixed price for the described job, with route expenses clarified in the offer.

Confirm who receives the furniture if you arrive separately. This is a transport plan, not help with deregistration, tenancy paperwork, customs or housing search. Requirements for a specific route or unusual goods must be checked separately rather than inferred from a general moving article.

Ready for moving day?

One final review.

  • List items and clearing deadline.
  • Confirm every recipient's acceptance.
  • Book storage or recycling arrangements where needed.
  • Agree local or international transport terms.
