Teleporter does not carry dangerous goods such as gas cylinders, fuel, solvents or damaged batteries. Do not pack them with ordinary belongings. If unsure about an item, describe it to support before booking, not when the van reaches your door.

The essentials, in brief.

  • Dangerous goods are not an ordinary moving task.
  • Disclose contents and labels before booking.
  • Support cannot make an exception to our refusal.

01 · Keep these items out of the moving load

Examples include barbecue or camping gas cylinders, fuel cans, solvents, flammable varnishes and paints, concentrated hazardous chemicals, fireworks and ammunition. The same applies to damaged or leaking batteries and hazardous medical or laboratory materials.

Also disclose aerosols, workshop chemicals and products with warning labels. Do not conceal containers in a moving box or describe them as ordinary kitchen equipment. For dangerous goods, support refuses the task or refers you to a specialist transporter.

02 · A private exemption is not permission for our van

A private exemption is not permission for our van

Dangerous-goods rules distinguish transport types and exemptions. The Danish Emergency Management Agency provides separate guidance on commercial transport. Permission to carry something yourself under specific conditions does not mean it is included in an ordinary Teleporter booking.

Our policy is to refuse dangerous goods. A text message, offer of extra payment or written agreement with support does not create an exception. If the item needs a specialist, find a suitable solution rather than entering it as ordinary moving goods.

03 · Special items are not always dangerous goods

Special items are not always dangerous goods

A large plant, heavy furniture or fragile glass may require separate planning without being dangerous goods. Send dimensions, weight, photos, packaging and access details so support can assess whether the job is possible.

An e-bike with an intact battery differs from a loose damaged battery. Describe the exact item and battery condition and await assessment before booking. We do not currently offer piano or safe transport; these tasks require a specialist.

04 · What should you send support?

What should you send support?

Provide the product name and quantity, plus a clear label photo if contents are uncertain. Disclose leaks, damage or special storage requirements. 'A few garage boxes' is not enough to assess their contents.

Clarify this before collection. An ordinary booking does not approve everything at the address. Keep unaccepted items separate. Do not use this guide as instructions to handle or repackage a hazardous container yourself.

Ready for moving day?

One final review.

  • Review the garage, shed and workshop.
  • Keep refused items out of boxes.
  • Send names, quantities and labels when unsure.
  • Clarify unusual items before booking.
