A treadmill needs assessment by model, weight, transport dimensions and access before you book. Send support the details and confirm sufficient help can be arranged. Wheels or a folding mechanism do not make it safe to move on every staircase.

The essentials, in brief.

  • Find the model, weight and transport dimensions.
  • Follow the manufacturer's moving instructions.
  • Have the task assessed before booking.

01 · Send more than a photo of the machine

Send more than a photo of the machine

A photo may not show weight or components that make carrying difficult. Find the rating plate and manual, and provide total weight and dimensions in the transport position allowed by the manufacturer. Include loose weights and accessories.

Describe collection and delivery: floors, lift dimensions, staircase turns and distance to the van. Photograph narrow points. A sufficiently large vehicle is only part of the assessment; the team must also move the machine in and out safely.

02 · Fold only as the manual describes

Fold only as the manual describes

Some treadmills fold; others do not. The NordicTrack Commercial LE, for example, has a specific procedure for incline, power disconnection and locking before moving. That is a model-specific instruction, not a method for every treadmill.

Read the moving section in your own manual. Check the prescribed lock and do not lift by the screen, plastic parts or other unintended points. Transport wheels for a level floor are not a way to roll the machine down stairs.

03 · Clarify dismantling before anyone starts

Clarify dismantling before anyone starts

If the machine cannot fit through the door, assess possible dismantling using the manufacturer's instructions. Do not guess when removing cables, tensioned parts or mechanisms. Some tasks require a technician or specialist transporter.

For a training rack, loose plates, bars and accessories may be separate packages. Pack and label them so their weight is clear and they cannot roll. A large weight-stack machine needs its own assessment; ordinary furniture transport does not promise handling of every load.

What must be agreed with Teleporter?

Support needs machine and access details to assess the vehicle, help and any extra work. We do not give a universal crew size or maximum machine weight here because construction and carrying route also matter.

Local jobs are billed at the chosen rate for working time, subject to the applicable minimum. Agreed packing or dismantling may extend the job. Book once the specific task is clarified; unsuitable equipment or staffing means another solution is needed.
