Transport
A dining table.
Check the parts first.
Plan dining table transport with dimensions, tabletop details, access and sufficient help. Agree dismantling and handling of unusually heavy or fragile parts.

A dining table can be transported as a standalone job. First clarify whether it will travel assembled or in parts. The tabletop's material, weight and dimensions often matter more than the number of furniture items.
The essentials, in brief.
- Describe material and weight, not just dimensions.
- Arrange dismantling before the journey.
- Check access at both addresses.
01 · Describe the tabletop and construction
Describe the tabletop and construction
Send length, width and height, plus a photo of the table. State the material: a light wooden top is a different task from glass or stone of the same dimensions. Include extension leaves, legs and any other parts to transport.
If you do not know the weight, say so. Ask the seller for a model or product information rather than guessing a low weight. Support can use the details to assess whether ordinary carrying help is sufficient.
02 · Arrange dismantling and protection
Arrange dismantling and protection
Check the manufacturer's instructions if legs or the frame need removing. Do not assume every joint should be dismantled or that a heavy top can be lifted in the same way as a light table.
Arrange team assistance with dismantling, packing or assembly through support in advance. The customer supplies instructions and necessary fittings. Particularly heavy or fragile material needs separate assessment; the number of helpers booked is not itself a guarantee.
03 · Think all the way indoors
Think all the way indoors
Measure tight spots at both addresses, especially the turn into the dining room. A round table may present different challenges from a long top, and a lift must accommodate the parts as they will travel.
Book transport without carrying help only if you have people for every lift. If the table needs assembling after delivery, allow space and time for the agreed work. Local per-minute billing continues while the booked work is carried out.
