Transport
Direct transport.
Or a shared load?
Understand direct transport versus sharing a load with other customers' goods. Know what to ask about timing, handling and delivery.
Read as part of a guide (1)
Direct transport plans your job between the agreed addresses. A shared load can combine several customers' goods in one transport process. Teleporter does not currently offer shared-load transport; longer journeys are agreed individually with support.
The essentials, in brief.
- Shared loads can combine several customers' goods.
- Check timing, transfers and carrying indoors.
- Teleporter does not currently offer shared loads.
01 · Timing and flexibility
Timing and flexibility
Ask a shared-load provider whether collection and delivery use fixed times or wider windows. The arrangement may depend on other loads and routes. Do not assume a particular number of days without a specific quote.
A direct job has an agreed plan for your transport. Traffic and access problems can still occur. You must still arrange contacts, open doors and the agreed carrying arrangements.
02 · Handling and identification
Handling and identification
When considering shared loads, ask about transfers, temporary storage, labelling and receipt. These details matter when choosing packaging and planning when you or a contact need to be present.
Compare the actual service. Kerbside delivery is not the same as carrying into your home. Ask the provider to describe who handles the item at each stage and which conditions apply to that specific item.
03 · When to contact Teleporter
When to contact Teleporter
For longer furniture transport, send support the addresses, date, load and required help. Intercity prices are agreed separately; the local per-minute rate is not a complete quote for a long route.
If you specifically need a shared load, choose a provider that confirms that service. We do not promise shared-load space or special return-trip pricing. Choose according to your timing, assistance needs and the actual quote.
